What to say about this bottle... Have I had the same as others, with a possible 9+ note? It is a very light rum, column still and not much power within it. Cask, some light sweetness and some Caramel are what I get. A bit citrus to the nose but not the taste. According to others there's some tobacco, but as I do not smoke this seems to escape me regularly. Unimpressive, so let's list positive things: - alcohol is OK, not harsh, and not too less, it does not taste watery - mild is good for some occasions and might work in drinks and mixers - unsweetened Well, what to do with it? To be honest drinking it as a sipper would have been boring, so I used it as mixer (needs some attempts, in coke and some cocktails it just gets lost) or blending component: a Nine Leaves Rum or RA Seamaster with some of this added for example were quite tasty. As it does not have much to itself, it seems to bring out the essence of other rums in a gentle way: The nine leaves for example has quite a prune taste that I do not always like, which bekame much easier to drink with some of this rum added as it remained noticeable but was no longer off putting if not in the mood for it.
