Nose: intense and complex. Spicy and fruity. A nice blend of peach, sour cherry and papaya and some lemon zest. In addition, a slightly vinegary note. It has some sulfuric, and some wax to it. The sweetness goes a bit towards burnt sugar. I find vanilla and spiciness from cinnamon. Cherry wood and leather round out. Nice.Palate: unmistakably Savanna! Intense and full-bodied, artificial fruity and spicy. Slightly bitter with raspberry, sweet cherry and sour cherry in equal measure. Iodine and sulfur are present. Bitter sweetness from persipan. In addition, also slightly toasty-leathery.I quite like this one.
Doesn't pick me up - unbalanced and inconsequential. Very dull, the nose is rather closed. Not much happens on the palate either - a little toffee, yellow fruits, some tannin that I would assign to tropical fruits, but mainly spicy heat and toasty barrel notes. Unfortunately, the rum does not seem to me completely balanced and overall quite simply too boring.
A good, but not outstanding Savanna.Metallic notes, honeycomb, very slightly toasty and some papaya.
