The longer you wait, the more the vanilla fades in favor of sugar, but this rum isn't meant to wait in a glass, as it's more of a cocktail product. 5,5:On the palate, as you'd expect, it's round and very light. A hint of caramel precedes the avalanche of vanilla and marshmallows. The palate, too, is very simple. 4,5:The finish is short, with vanilla, sweetness and a drying finish.."

"Edit: Nachdem ich mittlerweile mit so ziemlich allen Rums die mir in die Hände fallen mixe und auf der Suche nachdem ultimativen CubaLibre bin, muss ich sagen, dass der Captain gar nicht mehr so mein Fall ist. Irgendwie finde ich ihn vom Geschmack sehr künstlich. Pur geht er überhaupt nicht mehr die Kehle runter. Im Mund hingegen ist die Schwäche von Anfang an offensichtlich mit einem hohlen Mund, dann tauchen einige Aromen auf mit Karamell und Joghurt.Der Abgang ist minimal, aber nicht unangenehm.Ein "Rum", der sich nicht traut, sich Rum zu nennen (wegen der 35%?) oder wegen der Zusatzstoffe?Aber alles in allem ein angenehmer Drink."
