The "Pure Demerara Rum Magnum MEC" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Silver Seal. It was distilled in 1988 from Molasses and then aged for 21 years. The rum has an ABV of 50% and the mark is MEC. "Yet another of the expensive magnum bottled and this one wasn't opened so a Virgin bottle. The overall impression is a near perfect rum with very nice roasted wood and fruits. I like the cherry in the profile that starts at the nose and is there through the finish. The chocolate and coffee are even easier to pick up in the empty glass after a while."
