Unfortunately, absolutely not my case. Rarely experienced so much alcoholic sharpness at such a low alcohol content ... In addition, extremely violent. In the daiquiri then some red currant with a lot of yeast and light Calvados associations...
The nose has lots of cut flowers and pear. Reminds me of a Calvados in many ways. Some sugarcane in the background. The palate keeps the flowers and the pear but drifts into a smokiness which works well. Kind of Calvados becoming Mezcal. The finish loses the flowers but alongside the fruit and smoke there's a yeasty note at the very end. Very different, I tend not to be a fan of sugarcane juice rums that have Fruit Schnapps/Calvados notes, but this one plays it well.
