I write the comment only because I can not understand the bad reviews. Because the quality at this price is really impressive. First of all, alcohol is very well integrated here. Cocoa and caramel are the main characters here. In the supporting roles, coffee and tropical fruits. Unlike continental South Americans, this one is not too sweet. The pleasant sweetness pairs with a tart note, especially on the attack (cocoa and coffee). There seems to be very little sugar added here, which is really surprising given its prevalence and popularity. For Spanish style, this one is very good and the PLV is outstanding. Was able to purchase 1L for 20 euros and sometimes I like to take this as a sipper. But also very refreshing with ginger ale and lime

Tremendous leap from the 5 to the 7. Concise wood, dark caramel, vanilla, tobacco, leather. Massive what these 2 years make up here.Pur also enormously rounder - the strange, sharp edge in the last third is rounded here, instead's smooth from one roast flavor in's next. Really good - but I just still can not do anything with this characteristic Cuban note.

Eine recht helle Robe, eine Nase, die von Karamell und Vanille mit einem sehr angenehmen Hauch von Orange geprägt ist. Der Mund ist holziger als die Nase mit einer Verwässerung und mangelnder Fülle, die Punkte abziehen. Der Abgang ist recht kurz, aber eine Note von bitterem Karamell bleibt recht lange erhalten. Ein Rum, der für die Mixologie sehr angenehm sein muss.

Price quality wise, this is a really good rum. I Lways have a bottle in my cabinet due to various reasons; for the less picky guest, pre drinking for a party or when I'm not picky myself. Of course there are better rums to be found for this price, but why making it yourself difficult if you just fancy a pleasant glass of rum and this bottle is widely available?

Edit: A good rum for mixing in terms of price/performance ratio. In my opinion, it can also be drunk neat because it doesn't taste so overly artificial. A good starter rum for complete newcomers to provide a gentle introduction to the world of rum. For me, it's one of my favorites in the CubaLibre. I find it just so good straight.

Solider Mixing-Rum. Er eignet sich besonders für Einsteiger oder als Zutat für hochwertige Cocktails. Für erfahrene Genießer könnte jedoch an Tiefe und Komplexität mangeln. Ein zuverlässiger Klassiker, der nicht enttäuscht, aber auch nix spannendes bietet.

07.2024 Erster Eindruck: vollmundig, interessanter Bogen zwischen Orangenfrucht und Holz. Nase: Holz, Vanille, Orange, würzig, sehr rund. Gaumen: der Alkohol beißt zuerst zu bevor sich weichere und würzigere Noten von Eiche, Vanille, Tabak und Zitrusfrucht ausbreiten. Abgang: Verlängerung der Gaumeneindrücke zu denen nun noch Schokolade hinzukommt. Gesamteindruck: zum pur Sippen bevorzuge ich Jamaikaner, dennoch gefällt mir der HC7 vor allem wegen des fairen Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis. Ich werde ihn daher weiterhin zum Mixen nutzen, um einen unprätentiösen Rumgeschmack einfließen zu lassen. <2018 Ich erinnere, dass mir beim ersten Tasting das Holz zu präsent war

Im Vergleich zur Havanna Especial hat die Nase ein wenig Frucht im Hintergrund. Nicht viel, aber es ist da. Der Geschmack ist sehr holzig, mit viel Holz und einer Note von Tabak. Viele Tannine und auch Tabak. Im Abgang bleiben die Tannine und der Tabak in der Palette, aber es gibt auch etwas dunkle Schokolade. Allerdings ist es nicht viel und ich würde sie nicht wieder kaufen. Einfach zu holzig.

Günstiger Basic Sipper für Anfänger

I don’t get too much on this one. Very little on the nose. Palate is a little better. Nothing stands out. It really comes out in a Cuba Libre where it shines. You could sip it neat but why?

Obwohl dieser Rum ein Sipper sein könnte, verwenden wir ihn hauptsächlich für Mixer, in denen er ziemlich gut abschneidet.

Good mixer, lacks any real depth, however not an unpleasant drop on a Friday night with friends and some decent jazz. An easy drinker. Floral and sweet but thin.

Dies ist ein perfekter Rum, den man sowohl mischen kann, ohne ein schlechtes Gewissen zu haben, dass man ihn verschwendet, als auch pur trinken kann, ohne dass es zu einem unangenehmen Erlebnis wird. Ich würde sagen, es ist ein Rum, den man immer dabei haben sollte, süß und angenehm. Prost! 🥃
