"Notes from 25.04.2018: Travel souvenir from a good friend that was opened directly. Fruit and vanilla on the nose, then sweet in the mouth with some fruit and a clear alcohol note. Pure well in the cola then it goes."

"I bought this bottle a few years ago in Nicaragua, the country of origin. There the rum was only bottled at 37%. At that time the go-to rum for cola rum, or the 4 year old. Quite alcoholic but quite good when mixed."

"Aus einer Notiz rekonstruiert: Für den Pur-Genuss nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen. In der Nase vor allem Holz, etwas Vanille, Würze und deutlicher Alkohol. Viel Kraft, wenig Tiefe. Im Mund bestätigt sich der Eindruck: Kein süßer, eher ein kräftiger, würziger Rum. Im Cocktail, für was ich ihn gekauft habe, bleibt er trotz nur 40% noch präsent, zeigt seine dunklen, würzigen Aromen und freut sich über Limette oder Grapefruit, harmoniert gut mit Cherry Brandy oder Falernum, ohne die Liköre unsichtbar zu machen."

"Noch dünner und nichtssagender als seine älteren Brüder. Abgang nicht existent. Selbst für Cocktails nicht zu empfehlen, da viel zu schwachbrüstig und ausdrucksschwach."

Alcohol quite sharp. Finish is short. The hazelnuts hang around for at least a few seconds. A little sharp and beyond that somewhat boring. Not one I'd buy."
