The "Single Cask Rum" was produced in Guyana at the Uitvlugt (Port Mourant) distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. It was distilled in 1989 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 23 years. The rum has an ABV of 54,9%. This is a limited release and there are only 305 bottles. 11 community members rated this rum with an average of 9.1/10. The rum smells like Woody, Burnt sugar and Caramel, and on the palate there is Roasted, Licorice and Woody.

Very round, balanced profile - a pleasant blend of tropical fruits, wood, spices and a little caramel sweetness. For me, this is one of the best representatives of the 1989 Uitvlugts.
