Long Pond Plantation Old Reserve
The "Plantation Old Reserve" was produced in Jamaica at the Long Pond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Maison Ferrand. It was distilled in 1983 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 28 years. The rum has an ABV of 42%. This is a limited release and there are only 150 bottles. 3 community members rated this rum with an average of 9.2/10. The rum smells like Burnt, Oak and Spicy, and on the palate there is Dry, Spicy and Sweet.

This bottle got expensive very fast and no wonder why. A great one from Plantation with a wonderful nose and beautiful well balanced and complex palate. If you find a bottle remember to rest the sipper for at least 10 minutes before giving it a go. It needs some time to release the full potential. A masterpiece hard to get your hands on.
