Ekte Rum Uitvlugt No6 Guyana
The "No6 Guyana" was produced in Guyana at the Uitvlugt distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Ekte Rum. It was distilled in 1992 from Molasses with a Single Wooden Pot Still and then aged for 23 years. The rum has an ABV of 57,7%. This is a limited release and there are only 300 bottles. 9 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.3/10. The rum smells like Round, Yellow fruits and Honey, and on the palate there is Balanced, Fruity and Complex.

Rightly the Guyana flagship of this Danish bottler, which unfortunately no longer exists. But beware: quite inconspicuous at first, needs a lot of time for the bouquet to develop! In parallel tasting with the comparable 18y from Ekte from 1998 (RX7222) ultimately superior, more complex, more striking, more metallic. I like it very much! It's incomprehensible that this fine rum is still available on the primary market, perhaps because of the rather high price. Hidden pearl! Update 2023-12-20: Online blind tasting 20.12.2023 with 6 very different but therefore excellent rums, none of which I would like to emphasize in retrospect, each tasted good in its own way and brought its character to the flight, which is why (this time!) no points were awarded. A great tasting with friends, in which each of us contributed a blind sample. Order RX17286 RX726 RX9954 RX3604 RX39 RX12384 RX3604 was the outsider of the tasting, for a Uitvlugt very unusual distinctive smell of really ripe, sweet yellow-fleshed apples.
Grüne Äpfel, metallischer Abgang. Ich werde kein Freund dieser Abfüllung. Die Qualität ist jedoch unstreitig.
Wow, einfach nur wow. Dies ist ein Rum, der in Dänemark gereift ist, und sie haben definitiv ein einzigartiges Fass für diesen Rum gefunden. Eine wunderbare fruchtige Nase mit Holz und einem Hauch von Rauch. Im Hintergrund sind auch Gewürze zu erkennen. Am Gaumen ist er wunderbar, ausgewogen und komplex. Die Flüssigkeit ist ölig/butterig und die Vorhänge laufen das Glas hinunter. Wiederum Frucht mit Gewürzen und Eiche/Rauch. Der Abgang ist sehr lang und würzig mit Eiche und Rauch.
