The "Demerara Rum" was produced in Guyana at the Versailles distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Moon Import. It was distilled in 1985 and then aged for 20 years. 14.04.2012 First visit to the Whisky.dk event after returning to Denmark after first living 3 years in Upplands Väsby, Sweden and then 7 years in Shanghai, China. Got back together with old friends to have a nice weekend. Notes. Dark in colour. Nose: wood, smoke, medicinal, herbs, plum, licorice. Palate: balanced, oily, wood, smoke, licorice, raisin. Finish: medium to long, wood, smoke, raisin, licorice.
Versailles style comes through, but there remains a somewhat own "green" note that wanders between kitchen herbs and tea. Has a somewhat difficult time compared to other 85s.
