Samaroli Trinidad Rum
The "Trinidad Rum" was produced in Trinidad. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Samaroli. It was distilled in 1999 from Molasses and then aged for 18 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. This is a limited release and there are only 420 bottles. 9 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.9/10. #4530 16.12.2023 I think the price doesn't match what you get but that's how is is sometimes. Medium fruity rum with some natural sweetness to it. The palate is light and well rounded with fruits and caramel. The finish is short to medium maybe because of the ABV that I would have loved higher. Draws nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has a faint rubber note.
Quite perplexed, it's not what I expected when tasting a product from Trinidad, The nose is rather timid, despite interesting vegetal notes, and the palate is reminiscent of spicy caramel, The alcohol is a little too present despite the 45%.

Beautiful thing. Very good as a digestive. Despite only 45% not too watery. In the finish very slightly woody and slightly bitter.
