The "Vieux Le Rocher" was produced in Haiti at the Le Rocher distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Velier. It was distilled in 2019 from Sugar cane juice and then aged for 6 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 54,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 158 bottles. 11 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.5/10. The rum smells like Dried fruit, Medicinal and Olive, and on the palate there is Cherry, Vegetal and Olive.

I expected something totally different and was pleasantly suprised. This is one of the best Haitis I have tasted. Never heard of Blanton before but it obviously made a good work here. The nose corresponds quite well with the palate, both rich in overripe fruits, banana, pineapple, sweet-soury olives, honey, light medicinal, vegetal and herbal notes, sweet spices, I even get hints of white wine. Bitter medicinal aftertaste.
Excellent a bit smoky, strong in taste, very pleasant finish.
