👃The vanilla and caramel flavors are quite present accompanied by a mix of ripe fruit and a little glue, all in sweetness. 👄 To this you add cocoa and a little coconut and cinnamon on the palate. It's oily and powerful with its high alcohol content, and the finish is rather long. Let yourself be tempted

Eine sehr angenehme Nase, um die Entdeckung dieses Rums zu beginnen. Leim, Karamell, Vanille, tropische Früchte und Holz vermischen sich harmonisch. Das ist sehr einnehmend! Im Mund Alkohol, der beim ersten Schluck etwas bissig ist. Dann karamellisierte reife Früchte. Sehr viel Gourmandise. Abgang mit Pfeffer und Vanille. Die Länge ist angemessen. Der Geschmack ist nicht auf dem Niveau der besonders angenehmen Nase. Aber eine schöne Auswahl.

Leider kein typisches Fiji-Profil. Eher langweilig, junges frisches Eichenfass mit viel Vanillin. Sonst nicht viel.

Die Fassstärke Variante ist leider auch nicht viel besser. Wirkt ebenfalls eher wie Barbados Rum als wie fiji... Der Alkohol ist eher schlecht integriert und ist sehr stechend und macht das Trinkerlebnis eher unharmonisch. Abgesehen von Alkohol, etwas Karamell und Backgewürzen ist hier nicht viel zu finden.

Un beau nez, mais en bouche assez linéaire et ennuyeux.

At first sight, the nose is pleasantly dessert-like, with vanilla and fruity (yellow) notes. The alcohol comes on gradually, but is not too invasive, and the first taste remains in the same vein as the nose, i.e. gourmand. But the alcohol, with its almost acidic spiciness, quickly takes over in a rather lasting way, leaving an alkaline and anaesthetic impression. The vanilla gradually reappears, but a little too late for my taste. Quite an exercise to drink it, alcohol too present for me.
