Positive Überraschung! Süffig, rund, relativ süß, kräuterig. Klare Empfehlung, wenn man das nötige Kleingeld hat und diesen seltenen Rum noch findet.

Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light coffee, banana, light caramel, faint nougat, light spicy. Finish Long and warm, oily, wood, faint smoke, fruits, light tea, light nougat, faint herbal. Very nice rum that needs time to open up properly.

In der Cave Saint Seurin bei einem Besuch in Bordeaux verkostet. Eine recht angenehme Nase, aber vielleicht etwas schwach. Im Mund ist er recht geradlinig, bis dahin war ich nicht unbedingt begeistert, ABER: Der Abgang explodiert gut im Mund, sehr lecker und patissierend, das hat mich verblüfft.

Light but very herbal in a good way. Very interesting rum. You taste the great quality in your glass, but it so light. Is this watered down? If so I wonder what it would taste like when stronger. Finish rather short to medium long but also really thin.

Die Nase ist typisch SV/SVL, relativ süß mit Malz, Karamell, etwas Kaffee, Gewürzen und auch fruchtigen Noten. Geschmacklich durch die Verdünnung mir leider etwas zu wässrig. Abgang leider auch etwas kurz.

Gute Savalle Nase reich an Trockenfrüchten, dunkler Fruchtigkeit, Süße, Malz, Gewürz und etwas Kaffee. Am Gaumen dann von den Geschmacksrichtungen schon äquivalent aber etwas schwach auf der Brust: wirkt durch die Verdünnung auf der einen Seite zwar schön weich, aber eben auch etwas dünn.

Nase: Karamell, Kaffee, dezente Fruchtnote. Aber irgendwie alles recht verhalten Mund: würzig, Kaffee, schöne Süße und auch hier dezente Frucht im Hintergrund.

Für mich eher einer der schlechteren SVLs wenn man das überhaupt so sagen. Die Abfüllung bringt alles das mit was man so erwartet. Für mich fehlt aber trotzdem der gewisse Kick für ein bessere Bewertung.

Leckerer Diamond. Würzig Süße Nase mit Kaffee, rotem Pfeffer, Karamell und Vanille sehr Harmonisch. Im Mund Karamellige Süße etwas Kaffee, Vanille und Trockenfrüchte schöne Würze. Bitternoten halten sich auch in Grenzen.

Ich mag das Profil eigentlich, aber die Abfüllung von The Roots hat mich leider etwas enttäuscht. Ich finde, man merkt der Abfüllung leider die Verdünnung an. Ein wässriges Mundgefühl. Die einzelnen Komponenten sind zwar da, kommen aber nicht so gut durch wie bei anderen Abfüllungfn dieses Stils,

Sweeter on the nose, caramel, banana, apricot, a bit ashy (all so great), with the spices and barrel really coming in on the taste, leaving the sweetness behind. Some dryness, bitter chocolate. Finish a bit thin but follows the taste - a good dynamic with the nose!
