Guatemala Gran Reserva Rum

Ich habe etwas sehr süßes erwartet, aber der Rum war überraschend trocken. Vielleicht gibt es noch Hoffnung für Rum aus Guatemala? Aber auch trocken hat er mich nicht begeistert. Aber ist okay bis gut.

Day no. 8 of the 24 days of rum advent calendar, 46% abv rum from the single origin series distilled from mollases at the Darsa Distillery Guatemala 🇬🇹 and aged in American Oak casks. Color is very light pale gold. 👃 is not very prominent, we get a portion of sweetness, vanilla, dried fruits, sour aroma of citruses and a bit of alcoholic odour. 👅 is on the other hand very prominent and full of flavour. We get a lot of natural sweetness represented by vanilla flavor pulled from the oak barrel, it is also a bit spicy- peppery. We also get dried fruits such as raisins. It reminds me of pot still rum even though this is supposed to be pure column still. The finish is long with woody notes dipped in sweet sugar syrup- awesome. Great rum I really like this one.

Oha, schwer einzuordnen. Hat auf jeden Fall eine fruchtige Nase und auch einen leichten fruchtigen Geschmack. Finde außerdem er schmeckt leicht nach Vanille und Karamell. Der Alkohol ist ziemlich gut eingebunden. Ein OK Rum.

Rhum agréable même si l'alcool est très présent et sec, des arômes fruités et frais plutôt agréables au sein de cette ambiance énolique.

Rum ktery prisel, vypiji ho, odejde a za tyden nevim, ze jsem ho pil... Neni spatny, je pomerne vyvazeny, ale rumu tohoto typu je strasne moc a nijak nevystupuje z rady. Super kratky zaver

Trockener Rum, in der Nase und im Mund findet man die gleichen Dinge. Alkoholisch, trocken, holzig und fassgelagert. Für mich nicht außergewöhnlich.

Alkoholische Nase mit Karamell und etwas Holz. Im Mund gelbe Früchte (Aprikose, Pfirsich), ein Hauch von Zitrusfrüchten, immer noch karamellisiert und leicht holzig, der Alkohol ist nicht sehr gut integriert und zu präsent. Wenig Länge

The epitome of central American boring rums. Not much going on in either direction. Dead cask and slight dosage. Still nothing really horrible going on... I am really unsure who needs this over an over again, but here we are!

Leider eher enttäuschend. Neben alkoholischer Schärfe auch angenehme sanfte Noten nach Karamell an der Nase. am Gaumen dann aber überraschend trocken, leicht floral, scharf aber trotzdem allgemein dünn.

Fruchtig exotisch, Annanas mit Vanille im Aroma, etwas flüchtiger Alkohol. Cremig, etwas Annanas und Vanille setzten sich fort. Alkoholische Schärfe deutlich mit kurzem Abgang.

This rum has strong vanilla arome. You can distinguish notes of fruits, especially plums. Good average rum.

Sample no.8 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2022. First it smells like tequila but after it sits for a while more of an alcoholic scent with tropical fruits and raisins come to light. Taste is strong and warm but despite the higher abv I don’t get much flavours.

Did not like this one taste like soap, sorry.
