The "Saint James" was produced in Martinique at the Saint James distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Rum Shark. It was distilled in 2017 from Sugar cane juice and then aged for 6 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 66,8%. This is a limited release and there are only 247 bottles. 26 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.5/10. The rum smells like Vegetal, Tropical fruit and Herbal, and on the palate there is Sugarcane, Vegetal and Citrus.

Wie meistens bei den Sharks ist der Alkoholgehalt etwas übertrieben. Geschmacklich schwer einzuordnen. Etwas floral, etwas Süße, Holz, Karamell.
Überraschend würzig und süß für eine so jungen agricole und gleichzeitig wenig Holz Einfluss. Erinnert eher an Sandelholz, Zimt Gebäck mit Bitterorangen Glasur und ist insgesamt recht süßlich, nussig und mild trotz des hohen Alkoholgehalts.
Aroma at first is very unpleasant very alcoholic, almost like vodka. Let it rest. Then I noticed spice (very dominant), some floral scents and lot of fruits (mostly tropical and grapes). It reminded me homemade booze. After a few minutes I noticed some sweet scents (just a hint). Taste itself is very fruity (citrus is dominant flavor), again lot of spice, some wood and what is new for me, almost like mineral flavor (when you take magnesium tablet). Finish is pretty long (at least for me) but the whole thing ended very gently. Pretty interesting rum, not my favorite, but it could be good and pleasant choice for “agricole” drinkers.
