The "Kill Devil Jamaica" was produced in Jamaica at the Long Pond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 2005 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum has an ABV of 67%. This is a limited release and there are only 253 bottles. 8 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.0/10. The rum smells like Mango, Coconut and Oak, and on the palate there is Mango, Citrus and Caramel.

Still a bit beastly.
Sweet basic structure, but not without force. Vanilla and wood, which enter into a pleasant interplay with the fruit flavors. The final complexity is missing, but it remains an alcoholic-intense, but still good drinkable rum.
Could be an ITP or VRW... Light ester and glue notes meet slightly overripe and fermented mango, toasted coconut chips, sour bitter cocoa nibs and some green pepper and toffee with medium oak tannins. Overall also quite alcoholic but still drinkable. Not bad but not a highlight either.
Voll ok für 67%, sind gut integriert. Gefällt mir, eine Flasche bräuchte ich aber nicht.
