Significant hints of the bourbon barrels used in aging throughout the drinking process. Aside from that the nose is sugary with hints of apple, but on the palate the body is dry and tannic with stunningly little sweetness (I’m assuming zero dosage). A bit of smoke and leather as well as a light kick of Jamaican-style funk from the dunder fermentation process. The finish lingers a bit, mostly bourbon barrel with a little funk residue as well. For an early effort on a rented still this is impressively interesting.
