The "Plantation Panama Grand Cru" was produced in Panama at the Alcoholes Del Istmo distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Maison Ferrand. It was distilled in 2004 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 14 years. The rum has an ABV of 42%. 23 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.7/10. The rum smells like Caramel, Vanilla and Toffee, and on the palate there is Vanilla, Fruity and Woody.

This is an OK rum for a mid week sip. Sweet and a lot of vanilla. Not too bad compared to the price.
Pretty sweet rum with caramel and vanilla as main notes with some fruitiness and woodiness in the background. This is one of the better expressions of Panama that I have tasted. Classic Plantation style.
Classic Panama which means way too sweet. The sugar coats all the other flavours. Not much to discover here. Drinkable still. But a simple dram.
