The "Collectors Series Barbados" was produced in Barbados at the Foursquare distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Romdeluxe. It was distilled from Molasses and then aged for 17 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 57,9%. This is a limited release and there are only 269 bottles. 8 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.9/10. The rum smells like Caramel, Oak and Citrus, and on the palate there is Vanilla, Coconut and Oak.

02.11.2024 retasting at a Romdeluxe event. -------------- #4529 16.12.2023 Here you get what you pay for or maybe even a bit less. The roasted note is pretty strong even after resting for a good while. Medium fruity with some chocolate and the the roasted wood notes. The palate is lightly dry with and slightly out of balance/rough edges. The finish is medium long and has some dried fruit to it. The empty glass has a light orange note.
Rather unround, too toasty for my taste. The classic Foursquare profile plays up here rather restrained, even if it is of course recognizable. Does not convince me, even if undoubtedly good quality is in the glass.
Ein klassischer Foursquare, dessen einziges Manko die leicht fehlende Integration des Alkohols ist. Ein guter Barbados ohne Überraschungen.
