Süße in Form von Karamell und gebranntem Zucker, sowie Holznoten in Nase, Gaumen und Abgang. Auf Grund des geringen ABV ist er sehr mild, im Geschmack dafür aber eher schwach. Dafür wirkt die Süße natürlich. Update: beim zweiten Tasting kamen noch Noten von Kaffee und Dunkler Schokolade hervor.
It’s hard to give a fair assessment of this after trying the older 25yr brother, but this still is a fantastic rum. It’s shockingly smooth and for the price, provides a great value. It has a lot of the same notes as the older 25yr, very sweet and very nice notes of the aging. Solera method always yields a pleasantly mild but well rounded rum.
