Ein super leckerer T.D.L. mit einer wirklich coolen Litschi-Note! Die immer präsent ist, von der ersten Nase bis zum Abgang🤤 YummY Nicht soo minzig und schmutzig wie die TDL's von 2001-2003. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut integriert, ebenso wie das Fass.

Dies war eine sehr schöne Überraschung. Einmal geruht es wirklich zum Leben mit schönen Frische und Früchte gemischt mit einigen Gewürzen, Holz und einem minzigen touch.ABV ist wirklich gut integriert und es zieht schöne Vorhänge im Glas.the leeres Glas hat wirklich schöne Aromen nach etwa einer Stunde.

The next TDL Crosstasting is coming up. This time the 2000 Vintage: the Tamasoi against the Swell.The nose of both rums immediately makes clear what makes the vintages 2001-2003 so special. The nose here is not flat, but the tar, menthol and heavy roast aromas are missing. The noses are very similar. Compared to the Swell, the Tamosi shows more intense herbs and other vegetal notes that break up the sweet profile somewhat. In addition, as with the Swell, mainly caramel, toffee, sweet cocoa in addition to ripe to dry fruit (very ripe and dried apricot and ripe banana).In the mouth it becomes much thinner than the Swell, but remains true to the more "Spanish" profile. The Tamosi is perhaps a bit fresher-fruiter. A bit weird, while the Swell shows plants uhd herbs in the mouth that the nose hides, it's the other way around with the Tamosi, the tension of the nose fades. The finish is also not as fully smooth as the Swell, but perhaps a bit more multi-faceted with some salty chocolate candy.Honestly, I don't understand how the ratings can be so divergent. For me, both rums are about the same on, the Tamosi with the slightly more interesting nose but a rather thin mouth and the Swell which is intense and round but lacks the tension. The Swell is perhaps a touch ahead at the whole distance.

Elegant nose with sweetness and caramel notes (crème brûlée) and an interesting mix of fruits. In contrast to other 2000s TDLs I do not get minty notes in particular in this bottling. Mint comes to play on the palate. However, we are not looking at fresh mint both rather menthol in a wired combination with fruity notes (wildberries) which reminds me of candy. Also woodies, caramel and chocolate. Pretty nice.

Have had high expectations and they were met 🤩Mega Delicious 🤤Much Litchi just how I love it 🤩

The farmer's palate says:Rather unobtrusive on the nose, not as dirty-strong on the palate as the 2001 Nobilis (RX13862) and not as minty as the 2003 CDI (RX944), rather finely balanced, very pleasant to drink. So for a 2000 TDL really succeeded.

Mal wieder ein Beispiel für einen meiner Lieblings Jahrgänge aus Trinidad: Super geiler eleganter TDL! Hammer. Selten so eine intensive lychee, Karamell und Minze Note erlebt. Dazu diese super schwere ölig, dicke Textur die an Earl Grey tee als Sirup in Kombination mit einem Leckeren Gebäck erinnnert. Extrem gut eingebundener Alkohol ohne verdünnt zu wirken, aromatisch extrem vollmundig, schwer, elegant und lecker. Grandiose Abfüllung!

82 points. 2000 isn’t my favorite TDL vintage so I didn’t dive into this one with high expectations. The nose is nice but not as expressive as I would have liked. The dirt aromas that I have come to appreciate in the 2001 to 2003 vintages are sadly not present. The palate is a little better, the minty note I like in TDL’s is present but it is more pronounced in the finish. In addition there’s caramel, vanilla, wood and tropical fruit.

This is a very soft elegant representative of the 2000 TDL! In the nase initially fresh and berry, comes, the longer it rests, more and more delicate creme brulee caramel to the fore.The palate is soft, initially heavy sweetness and berry, then spicy dirty, finally fresh and minty.The finish is not quite as pronounced and corresponds to the palate.Certainly a very good TDL, but for me a little too tame

Ein subtiler und delikater T.D.L. Die Nase ist elegant, zunächst süß mit Karamell und braunem Zucker, dann leicht alkoholisch, bevor sich die roten und tropischen Früchte entfalten können. Gewürze, Milchschokolade und Mokka kehren auf dem Gourmet-Zusammenhang zurück, bevor sie den Mentholnoten die Führung überlassen. Ein angenehmes Profil, vor allem nach der Belüftung. Am Gaumen findet man einen sehr sanften Rum: die 57% sind nicht spürbar. Die Mentholnoten machen mit exotischen Früchten (Litschi, Aprikose, Ananas, Mango, Papaya, Johannisbeere) gleich. Crème brûlée, Karamell und Toffee stolzieren neben den Gewürzen und dem Holz, das in Richtung Schokolade tendiert. Ein klassisches Profil für die Destillerie, unglaublich köstlich und weich am Gaumen. Der Abgang kehrt zu Frische und Menthol zurück, gefolgt von getrockneten und exotischen Früchten. Schade, dass er etwas kurz ist. Gewürze, Karamell, Salz und geröstetes Holz geben den letzten Schliff. An sich ein guter T.D.L., der sehr leicht zu trinken ist, dem aber das gewisse Etwas fehlt, um zur Spitzenklasse zu gehören.

Retasting from today after getting a bottle and after having opportunity to compare to other TDLs from around that period (01-03). This one is very delicate. Has the flowery notes like 03 i tried, some herbs and menthol from 01. A bit of tropical fruit, light, some coffee and smoke. More caramel and vanilla. Quite enjoyable, however have to be fair to the other two and bring down the score a bit. Perhaps the original tasting which was lead by a 30yo KFM somehow had a positive influence on the original tasting. Original From a tasting session with Benjamin. This is so good. A mix of buttery notes, caramel, loads of tropical fruits and coffee.

Irgendwie schöner Tropfen ohne Die Nase wird von tropischer Frucht umschmeichelt, am Gaumen sehr weich und ausgewogen mit schöner Litschi Note. Ein gefälliger sehr guter Rum, im Finish leicht süß was aber auch gut reinpasst. Eine runde Sache. Das dreckige Profil einiger Trinidad TDL fehlt nicht ganz zeigt sich aber nur im Ansatz nach einiger Zeit im Glas.

Profil très floral, voire féminin, délicat et élégant. La température influence beaucoup ce rhum, en particulier le nez qui prend un côté plus alcooleux et poivré. La bouche est plus simple que d'autres TDL: floral, sucre brun, litchi et zeste de citron. On a une belle sucrosité. Le rhum est assez gras. Ce que j'apprécie aussi, c'est qu'il a été un peu réduit.

Sehr ähnlich zu den typischen 2001-2003 TDLs. Dieser ist allerdings filigraner, nicht so brachial, alles dezenter.

Hm. Spanish triviality meets boredom ala Foursquare. Sounds worse than it is now, but I miss the special, especially at the price. Either way, it will of course get a second chance.
