Master of Malt Caroni Traditional Column Rum
The "Traditional Column Rum" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Master of Malt. It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 22 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 61,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 284 bottles. 11 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.7/10. The rum smells like Tar, Phenol and Woody, and on the palate there is Tar, Intense and Woody.

Gute Darstellung des 97er-Profils. Gut ausgewogen und angenehm mit Schwerpunkt auf holzigen und schmutzigen Noten statt Früchten. Während der Alkohol sehr gut integriert ist, könnte die Komplexität ein wenig mehr faszinierend sein. So liegt er für mich bequem in der Mitte des 97er Jahrgangs.

07-06-2024 This was a surprise. Had not heard the best about this rum, but I do not agree in the critique. This tastes like how I want my Caroni. Bit over 20 years. Clear wood, tar and leather.
