Pure Single Rum (Cask Aged)

It has a simple profile. Pretty sweet (but not sweetened) with Cream Toffee and Vanilla. Very easy to sip and gentle at 45%. Great intro rum and I would probably pick this as a rum to gift or recommend to people starting out as it is so approachable and also good quality.

Beautiful butterscotchy, caramel sweetness at the start, followed by an oaky balanced flavour with great palate length. Very enjoyable neat or with a little ginger beer, worth every pound.

Dies ist der erste, den ich von dieser schottischen Rum-Destillerie probiere. Ich würde diesen Rum wahrscheinlich lieber in einem Mixer trinken, als ihn zu schlürfen, aber das Preisschild ist ziemlich OK.

Einfacher Trinker, viel Geschmack

Slight hint of orange and bannoffy pie on the nose. Very odd flavours and not particularly to my liking. Very spirit forward, sour, dry spice. Hint of vanilla on the finish. Spasams of dry/sour through the finish, curious butter tail. . Glad this came as a small sample and I did not buy a bottle. Not sure what cocktail this would work in. It will be interesting to see how this distillery develops. But I would have been extremely upset if I had bought a bottle, especially at an rrp of £40

Seltsame und funkige Nase, die einen erneuten Besuch erfordert, um versteckte Noten zu entdecken. Der Geschmack verursacht ein körperliches Schaudern, nicht mein Favorit, wenn ich ehrlich bin. Scharf und würzig, hinterlässt ein saures Brennen im Magen. Ich glaube nicht, dass selbst ein Cocktail diesen Geschmack gut genug verbergen könnte.
