The "Caroni Distillery Heavy Trinidad Rum" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler That Boutique-Y Rum Company. It was distilled from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 24 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 61,4% and the mark is Heavy Trinidad Rum. Nose is more dirt forwards with some sour/vinegar note to it. On the palate: points for some classic Caroni notes. Unfortunately this is all a bit one dimensional and lacks complexity. Not a bad bottling, but definitely not the pinnacle of 98 Caronis tbh.
Also a good profile in the approach that emerges. But in the mouth not fully convincing. The nose also had something slightly musty.

Typical nice Caroni flavor profile but not an exceptional bottling. A bit beastly in the glass even after a long time.
