Engenhos do Norte 970 Single Cask Edition
The "970 Single Cask Edition" was produced in Madeira at the Engenhos do Norte distillery. It was distilled in 2010 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 11 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 55,6%. 12 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.2/10. The rum smells like Fruitcake, Grass and Woody, and on the palate there is Woody, Vanilla and Spicy.

Nez et bouche se complètent agréablement sur ce rhum aux notes végétales, boisées et pimentées. Un côté sombre amené par le bois, des notes végétales, d'eucalyptus notamment. Et puis de la vanille et du chocolat. Tout ceci s'assemble très harmonieusement. Très sympa.
Super gimmicky nose that reminds me of fresh sweet popcorn. But with a lot of anis and then generic herbs in the end looses me too much. The dissonance of nose and palate is where this fails for me in the end.
Belle bouteille mais mérite un peu d’aération ! Finale un peu trop sur l’anis pour moi
Alkohol könnte etwas besser eingebunden sein, aber geschmacklich schön ausbalanciert.
