The "Trinidad Rum (Acensorship)" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Auld Alliance. It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 23 years. The rum has an ABV of 52,6%. Rather soft and well balanced on the nose. Somewhat gives me Cognac vibes 🤔 Definitly one of the non dirty 98 expressions. Very enjoyable on the palate. Sweetness, fruits, menthol and a very light touch of dirt towards the end. In Caroni terms this is definitly an easy sipper, but very nice nonetheless. Reminds of high quality Demerara Columns. Nice one - if the softer 98 profile is for you.
