The "Wild Series Rum Barbados No. 22 (Unicorn Set Vol 2) BMMG" was produced in Barbados at the Mount Gay distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Romdeluxe. It was distilled in 2001 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 20 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 54,8% and the mark is BMMG. Almost reminiscent of a Worthy Park due to the banana. A bit edgy on the palate and quite short finish. Nevertheless, a good Mount Gay.
Good Mount Gay, but overall a bit less compelling than the series' sister release.
This is a nice mount gay. The marzipan of the nose translates nicely to a banana with some wood bitters and tannines on the palate. The tannines are not unpleasant and it is a fun drink. I would want this with better availability and price...
