The "Reunion (Warehouse #1)" was produced in Reunion. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Rum Nation. It was distilled in 2008 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 13 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 59%. This is a limited release and there are only 552 bottles. 28 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.8/10. The rum smells like Woody, Cherry and Spicy, and on the palate there is Woody, Roasted and Vanilla.

What to think of it. I liked it better than the one with 15yrs of aging. The first sip had more fruit and more sweetness to the tongue. However, this desperately needs some additional water and air to open up, so it can be enjoyed. Still, the burn is a bit too much for me, and limits a higher score.
Dieser Réunion ist deutlich milder als sein Bruder, im Profil jedoch ähnlich! Mir persönlich ist der 15-jährige lieber, da er mehr Ecken und Kanten hat!
Nice strong mature rum. Strong nosing . Very Woody Taste with hint od cherry And dark chocolate. Pleasant finish.
Warehouse #1 Réunion side-by-side: On the nose the younger one is harsher while the sherry finish is more present (i.e. integration is worse compared to the older release). The older release comes with a nice combination of earthy notes and dried fruits. Both profit very much from some additional time to breath. Similar picture on the palate. The older release is smoother with better alcohol integration. On both releases the finish is very present and a bit too intense for my personal taste.
