The "Collectors Series No. 5" was produced in Haiti at the Barbancourt distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Romdeluxe. It was distilled from Sugar cane juice and then aged for 17 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60,7%. This is a limited release and there are only 247 bottles. 9 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.9/10. The rum smells like Caramel, Vanilla and Banana, and on the palate there is Banana, Tobacco and Alcoholic.

Sehr spannend! Geschmacklich ist er für mich eine Mischung aus sajous und Long Pond.
Not too bad a rum but a bit out of balance in my mind. Lightly fruity with vanilla and barrel. There is a light bitterness on the palate.
I didn’t take any notes at the Rhum Fest so a more detailed review will follow as soon as I get the chance to sample this rum again in a better context.
