The "Rum Sponge No. 7" was produced in Guyana at the Enmore distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Decadent Drinks LTD. It was distilled in 1988 from Molasses and then aged for 32 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 48,1%. This is a limited release and there are only 201 bottles. 7 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.1/10. The rum smells like Herbal, Woody and Tobacco, and on the palate there is Mango, Raisin and Herbal.

Getting a sample of this rum was pretty hard. I would have loved a bottle again because it's a great one. The nose is woody with fruits, herbs and spice trailed by tobacco and a light medicinal note. The palate is very well balanced with lighter wood than the nose, fruit and herbs trailed by anise and licorice and a very light tarry note. The finish is medium to long with light wood, herbs, raisin and light tar.
Typisches Versailles-Profil, großartig ausbalanciert, trotzdem komplex. Im Abgang leicht rauchige Whisky-Noten. Auch wenn ich nicht so auf den Anfang stehe, ein toller Rum!
