The "Barbados" was produced in Barbados at the Foursquare distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Colours of Rum. It was distilled in 2011 from Molasses with a Pot and Column Still and then aged for 9 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 62,3%. This is a limited release and there are only 246 bottles. 10 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.6/10. The rum smells like Vanilla, Coconut and Oak, and on the palate there is Oak, Caramel and Coconut.

This is a younger Barbados rum and it comes at you from opening the bottle. It needs to rest for a while to release all of its potential. Lightly smoky and woody from nose to finish. Add some fruit and spices, a hint of spices and caramel ad you have a good rum. Price to quality is very good.
Seriously, all this foursquare are more or less the same, and this is an tremendous achievement. Rarely a fallout to below the 70 points. Bourbon cask leaves vanilla and spices, some coconut, and overall a bit boring but reliable profile, even with these ib's
Slightly sharper than the second 2011 from the Colours of Rum range, slightly less balanced alcohol integration overall, less sweet and slightly more bitter. Accordingly, somewhat more complex, but not necessarily more interesting for me.
